Fitting Tips
Take snug measurements. A properly fitting Buddy Belt will hug your dog’s chest while allowing room for 1-2 fingers under the fastened strap.
If your dog falls between two sizes, size down. Buddy Belts are leather and will stretch slightly as they soften and form to your dog’s shape.
Your dog’s chest measurement is the primary consideration when selecting a size. Corresponding weights are based on averages and your dog may fall outside of our listed ranges.
Upon receiving your harness, if you notice that it is fastening on either the loosest eyelet or the tightest eyelet, we recommend sizing up or down, respectively.

Take careful measurements:
A properly fitting Buddy Belt should hug your dog or cat’s chest snugly.
Once the buckle has been secured put some upward resistance on the ‘O’ ring to allow one or two fingers underneath the belt between your pet’s shoulders.
