UPDATE: BB SPORT SAFETY NOTICE

FEBRUARY 28, 2023: Buddy Belts issued a safety notice for their BB Sport Harness after receiving a report where the O-ring was able to make contact with the fastened buckle’s side triggers, resulting in the buckle’s release.

MARCH 7, 2023: After determining that the cause of the problem was the floating O-ring’s proximity to the harness buckle, Buddy Belts has come up with a solution that successfully eliminates the issue.

Dear BB Customer,

Since receiving the report from our customer last week, we have been working around the clock testing different solutions to the BB Sport Harness issue outlined in our February 28, 2023 safety notice. We are very happy to announce that we have found a solution to this problem for both existing and future BB Sport Harnesses.

With the addition of a second and slightly smaller O-ring on the left shoulder harness strap, the leash clasp is securely fastened in place to both O-rings and no longer has the potential to trigger the buckle’s release. We have successfully tested this solution for all harness sizes and are confident that this is a highly effective resolution to the issue reported in the original safety notice.

All existing BB Sport Harnesses will be fitted with a sturdy black split ring on the left shoulder strap. All future BB Sport Harnesses will be fitted with a solid welded O-ring on the left shoulder strap.
